In this work, the structural, mechanical, and thermal properties of Yb 2 SiO 5 are studied by combining density functional theory and chemical bond theory calculations.

2013年7月1日 · β-Yb 2 Si 2 O 7 powders were synthesized by a sol–gel method using ytterbium nitrate and tetraethyl orthosilicate as starting materials. The thermal history, influence of composition and calcining temperature on phase evolution of the gel were investigated using TG–DTA, FTIR and X-ray diffraction.

In this study, we reported the Yb 2 Si 2 O 7 (YSO) dielectric ceramics synthesized using a facile solid-state reaction technique. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) characterization confirmed that YSO ceramics had a monoclinic structure.
