2024年6月5日 · The THR just feels simpler and smoother to use, mostly because of the accessibility of the controls and switches. With the NUX, I sit with my phone app in front of me to control the amp. Although the Yamaha has an app that works will, I don't feel the need to use it at all to just sit and play.

2019年9月19日 · Also Yamaha upgraded the firmware on the thr classic to version 2 awhile after it was originally released that supposedly improved the sound of the amp models. I didn’t have it before version 2 so I don’t know how much it changed but at least it shows the Yamaha will step up to the plate and upgrade the firmware if needed.

2020年9月3日 · Far and away, the biggest new feature of the thr30 is the inclusion of all amps that were previously available only by getting 3 separate original thr amps, the 10, the 10c and the 10x. So you have all of the variety and tonal variations of those amps in one box at at price significantly less than if you were to buy all three of the previous gen.

2015年3月19日 · So if you want more volume it won’t send more volume to the sound person (although adjusting the volume on the Yamaha THR10C will vary the level sent to the board). I’ve also used the Yamaha THR10C straight to the board using the headphone output to a direct box, and then to the board. That has worked well.

2019年9月19日 · For disclaimer, I'm not an active THR developer anymore nor representing the Yamaha Corporation, I've been doing my entire activities on this forum as a volunteer, mostly providing how-to or Q&A as a (former) key developer. Cutting to the chase, putting IR capability is impossible due to THR's DSP limitation.

2016年3月9日 · Yamaha have moved digital amp modelling on slightly with this amp, IMO, although at this point I feel that there is very little ground left to cover - digital pretty much caught up with valves with the Axe II and KPA (IMO). I use a Boss GT100 with my THR in 4CM and couldn't be happier.

2019年11月12日 · I believe flat-response is not for the guitar (more for keyboard or something). I prefer modelers into the normal guitar input and select the clean channel (Fender Twin/ Fender Deluxe). That works great with THR 10 and THR 10C in my experience (with BOSS ME-80), so it must work as good with the THR 30.

2013年5月26日 · Yes, you can record both at the same time on separate tracks and you can hear whatever you want. The guitar output knob on the THR controls the THR amp / effects volume and the USB/AUX output knob on the THR controls the background / VST / amp / effects coming from your computer.

2012年6月13日 · I had some Yamaha gears in the past (DG Stomp and DG80 amp) so new THR amps caught my eye. Price is a bit steep but at the end of the day if it will make you a better player - well... you know the drill. Because portability is important and because I misunderstood the THR Editor functionality I went for THR5.

2019年9月19日 · Yes - they became unavailable a couple of months back in my local area (new stock in Sept maybe I was told) so I was expecting maybe some new models in the THR 100 series. So, are Yamaha in the middle of a series of announcements with more to come or is this just an isolated launch of the smaller models?
