2019年10月1日 · Yes is finally shutting down its WiMAX network. They have just served its final notice to its postpaid subscribers and all accounts were suspended at 2PM on 30th September 2019. For those who are still on the old WiMAX plan and devices, Yes is offering a free upgrade to their Yes 4G LTE plan with free LTE devices.

Yes was officially launched on 19 November 2010 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia [9][10] and was the first in the world to commercially launch a converged 4G network at a national scale based on IEEE Broadband Wireless Access Standards (WiMAX). At launch, it boasted 65% nationwide population coverage and was the largest 4G network in Malaysia. [11]
