Young Game Designers is an initiative by BAFTA that inspires and supports young people to create, develop and present their new game idea to the world.

The YGD Hero Award, chosen by BAFTA’s Games and Learning & New Talent Committees, is awarded to a figure or organisation in the professional games industry who supports young game designers.

2025年2月19日 · Bafta is now taking applications for this year’s edition of its Young Game Designers competition. The competition, which is designed to inspire and support UK players aged 10-18 who are passionate about creating their own video games, will announce winners later this year in a virtual awards ceremony.

All Finalist games are showcased at our YGD award ceremony and made available to download via our YGD website. For 2024-25 any finalists’ games created in Dreams will have a showcase video on the YGD website but only be playable in Dreams.
