Yi City (义城, Yì Chéng) is an abandoned city located in the Shudong area. Yi City is surrounded by steep cliffs on all sides that tilt toward the center in an extreme manner, appearing both menacing and constricting, almost as if it would collapse any moment.

2020年3月14日 · Along an empty road in the rural countryside, Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji stumble across a stone plaque that reads "Yi City." Still on their quest to unravel the mystery behind the cursed severed arm, they venture into the deserted city to obtain further leads.

The Yi City involves Wei Wuxian and a bunch of younger disciples of multiple clans messing about in an empty zombie-filled city, learning about corpse poisoning and how to cure it, how to look at ghosts, a practical use of dark magic, and mundane-people methods of warding against the supernatural threats.

Xue Yang dies during the Yi City Arc that occurs 13 years after Wei Wuxian dies. Since we establish he was 18 a year after Wei Wuxian dies, then he was 29 or 30 at death. To summarize, Xue Yang and Xiao Xingchen are born in the same year with Xiao Xingchen having a first half of the year birthday and Xue Yang having a latter half of the year.
