Gunsmithing Mauser Rifles, particularly the Yugo M48
2003年11月28日 · As far as I know, the M48 Yugo, which is fortunately available in quantity to me (a reason for possibly trying it with this rifle) locally is not totally standard Mauser Model 98 Pattern. I know that it deviates from the pattern in the length of action, and maybe other areas too. I'm sure that this would require different stocks.
Yugo m48 or K98 stock on a modern Mauser - Shooters Forum
2004年11月21日 · I may be seen as ecentric or odd for the idea I have for one of my Old Yugo m48 (or K98) stocks. I pondered the thought of rebarreling my old yugo but came to an alternative. I thought about buying a new Mauser type barreled action perhaps a charles Daly or even a CZ or Ruger and dropping it in into one of my Yugo m48 or German k98 stocks ...
Yugo 48 ammo size? - Shooters Forum
2014年1月21日 · The M48 Yugo 8mm is one of the better military surplus arms available today; I own several. The proper ammunition is 8mm Mauser as sold by Remington, and other ammo makers. Technically it is a 8X57MMJS, which means it is a .323" bullet in a 57MM case. You can buy 8mm Mauser ammo and be safe in today's market place. Again, welcome to this site ...
M48 vs. 24/47 what is the difference? - Shooters Forum
2006年1月2日 · 1. The M48 has a steel cup on the butt of the stock and the 24/47 has a plate. 2. The M48 has a bent bolt handle and the 24/47 is straight. 3. The 24/47 has sling hoops that are easier to put a modern sling on. The M48 has the old K98 style of sling. A square hole in the middle of the shoulder stock and fixed hoop on the side of the barrel ring.
Scope/mounting on a Mauser M48- Can it be done?
2004年11月16日 · Here is my dilemna to an a old question. I like my Yugo Mauser 8mm (bent bolt) and thought about using it for hunting. Scopeing it out would just complete it for hunting but....I asked about putting a scope on it. Some told me there are Long eye relief scope mounts but they suggest I pass them up. OK.
M48 yugo accuracy? - Shooters Forum
2005年4月19日 · I have an M48, which I have worked over a bit, to improve the accuracy. I get 1.5 - 2.5 MOA average with some commercial ammo (and iron sights). Most of the milsurp ammo I've tried does no better than 3.5 MOA, at best...(and some, considerably worse).
Yugo M48 bayonet? - BladeForums.com
2004年11月13日 · M48 was indeed German Kar98 (-alike) in Yugoslav service; the bayonet was allegedly a hefty (long) piece, take-off design (unlike the newer post-WW2 also semi-auto rifle design of 7.62 calibre which used some sort of "folding" bayonet type, …
M48 Yugo | Shooters Forum
2006年9月5日 · Gentlemen, I hate to admit it, but I've had my M48 Yugo mauser about a year (maybe longer) and had never gotten serious about shooting it. I'd only done some plinking with surplus ammo and some chronograph work using pulled down powder and bullets from the milsurp ammo. Yesterday I decided it...
Yugo m48 vs Iranian 1949 Mauser? - Shooters Forum
2013年8月2日 · I've got experience with both rifles. The Yugo M48 is basically a K98 built with a intermediate length bolt. Last production Mauser 98's made. BRNO built the rifles for Persia. I've got one of the receivers in the safe. These will have the Persian crest on them. Later Persia/Iran built their own with supply Czech equipment in country.
Stock for M24/47 - Shooters Forum
2009年12月2日 · You need to look for a stock that is compatible with the Yugo M48, not the model 98. The dimensions are some what different. I suppose a model 98 stock could be made to work, with enough modification and epoxy! They exist, because I bought a rifle with a laminated stock... but I don't know where it came from.
