With two days of riding the new Yamaha WR250 and YZ250FX we’re more impressed than ever with Yamaha’s new direction in the off-road world. The two bikes are, as we’ve reported earlier, almost the same product. But there’s a very big difference in philosophy. The fact that the YZ250FX even exists is very big news.

2023年8月1日 · While they’re both 250 enduro bikes, the main difference is that the YZ250FX is a more aggressive enduro bike with a snappier power curve and stiffer suspension, while the WR250F has a softer suspension and a slightly smoother powerband. However, it depends on what model year Yamaha WR250F you’re looking at.

2012年5月31日 · The YZ250 is lighter, more agile, better brakes, and all around feels like riding a BMX bike. The WR250 lugs down low better, is smoother in the powerband (but has gobs of power on tap), softer suspension and a nicer seat for trail riding. Also the WR feels more like riding my Lazy-Boy chair.

The 1994 WR is the same basic bike as the '94 YZ250. It differs from its motocross brother by way of an 18inch rear wheel, a wide-ratio gearbox, an 0-ring chain, and a 3.5-gallon fuel tank....

2020年8月22日 · 1989 YZ 250 WR, topped out at 96 MPH, a little short of a 100 MPH, but not bad for it's day. I had one, clocked on my friends radar. 5th gear was so tall, with the bike maxed out in 4th, dropped almost to 1/3 throttle when shifting to 5th.
