2003年10月21日 · My old man's 98 ZR 500 is a reliable sled that goes like a bat out of hell, real snappy. The only issues with it were the hood bolts backing out and the hood falling off (first year 98 issue, you shouldnt have to worry about the 2000) and its quite a rough rider - much more so then the ZR 440.

2005年12月3日 · He's got a 2000 Arctic Cat ZR500 EFI with less than 2000 miles on it. He's only asking 2,000. The sled is in excellent shape and its a great deal. Im just wondering, are there any known problems that these sleds typically face, and is there anything I should ask him? Thanks guys... I believe they are a pretty reliable sled....

2009年10月2日 · Been looking around for a late 90's early 2000's ZL/ZR/ZRT class sleds and I've seen some 500's come up in the ZR and ZL class. Idealy I'm looking for a 6-700cc machine but money is a bit tight right now and I was just wondering what an 98-00 ZL/ZR 500 would top out at? (the guys I would be riding with have 600's).

2006年10月17日 · The 01 & UP ZR 500 on the other hand w/ the power valve was awesome for the time period. When tuned right, it ran with the 600s. It was rated around 99hp I think and it dynoed about 103-105hp. It is similar to the older vev 600s like the newer Firecat 500 when compared to the Firecat 600... both capable ditch bangers.

2003年11月22日 · I have a '01 ZR 500. It is a fantastic sled. Have taken it to Quebec and ride the trails mostly in NY. Sled is stock and fast enough for me. I beat a 2000 ZR 600 on a lake run. Pulled him at about 70 - 75 MPH.

2004年1月15日 · I had a 99 zl500 efi (same as zr but different suspension) and it was a great sled. I ran that sled hard. I didn't have any major problems with the sled at all.

2012年12月15日 · My first sled was a 2000 ZR 600, it was an okay sled, good for me since it was my first official sled, I probably put about 500 miles on it and the engine blew, cost me $1,000 to get the thing back running, after that it ran great of course.
