2023年6月16日 · Dave, The ZZ bird wings need to detach smartly from the witness that is not as brittle a material. the sooner separation occurs the more likely the witness will fall in the dead bird side of the fence! The witness can be used many times. The Euro shooters seem to think that speed is good, they have been at it for a while!

2019年12月7日 · Sorry guys 1 oz is max for most ZZ shoots, although FEDECAT allows 1 1/8oz. Factory loads at all competitions . 7 1/2 at 1300 is what I like but many use #8 first barrel and some #8 both barrels. Too much speed and too tight chokes can = dead bird over the fence !!

2012年12月20日 · The ZZ Bird/Helice ring(s) are set on our no longer used live bird pad. It is 15meters from outside pad in a radius and extends 15m beyond each of the pads and around on a radius from the last pad/box - then both fences come back to about the 25meter line. Think of it as a Triangle with rounded edges and top. WGH - I am not aware of the donation.

2016年10月18日 · Only been ounce. Most shooters who were regulars, and who were good, used tight choked (25/35/45) constrictions with 30 inch Perazzi pigeon or live bird guns. Gun weights were around eight pounds and barrels were light weight (1.5 KG or less). Did see some semi-autos, mostly Beretta and thats all I know. Ask Sera on this forum.

2019年1月31日 · I personally shoot ZZ's with a gun set up very similar to my sporting clays gun; Over-bored 32" thin-walled barrels for lighter weight, set to shoot flat, choked .025/.030, using 1oz 1250 #7-½ Bornaghi Star or Gold (they pattern very well).

2024年3月8日 · ZZ bird (Zinc Zerrato) is smaller and thinner plastic witness cup and the wings (propeller) is a smaller METAL setup. and YES, they are kind of the same game to simulate "Flyers" (live pigeon) shooting. I've shot them both, but only a little bit, so I am far from an expert, but I do have an example of each target setup in my clays collection.

2021年6月6日 · On Sunday I shot at the Stockton Trap and Boche ZZ Bird Shot. I shot a 10 bird warm-up, the 15 bird pre-lim, and the 30 bird race. My entry fee was $220 for 55 birds, including options. There was 48 shooters, most of which were long time pigeon ring shooters. I took 2nd in the 15 bird pre-lim race with a 14x15, and won $400.
