The Zlín Z 43 is a Czech four-seat light aircraft. A development of the two-seat Zlín Z 42, it is a low-wing monoplane. A developed version, the Zlín Z 143 remains in production.

This series of two seat trainers and four seat light aircraft was initially developed to replacement for the successful Zlin Trener. The initial Z 42 was developed during the mid 1960s and seats two side by side. It flew for the first time on October 17 1967.

The Zlin Z 43 is a single-engine four-seat touring and trainer aircraft produced by the Czechoslovak resp. Czech manufacturer Moravan Otrokovice (today ZLIN Aircraft Otrokovice, Czech Republic). The Zlin Z 43 is a development of the Zlin Z 42 with enlarged cabin, different wings and a more powerful engine.

It was available in two basic variants, a two-seat trainer, the Zlín Z-42, and a four-seat aircraft, the Zlin Z-43 capable of being used both as a trainer and a tourer. The resulting design is a single-engined low-wing monoplane of all-metal construction and a fixed nosewheel undercarriage.

The Zlin 43 was a primary flight trainer and light utility aircraft. A slightly smaller acrobatic version (Zlin 42) was also available.

Die NVA der ehemaligen DDR nutzte zwölf Z-43 als Verbindungsflugzeuge. Die “Zlin Z-43” ist – wie die Z-42 – auf vielen Flugtage in Deutschland zu sehen. Mit ihr werden Kunstflugvorführungen im Formationsflug gezeigt. Sie ist eine sehr robuste Tschechische Konstruktion, die eine Belastung bis zu +6 G aushält.

2024年10月12日 · První prototyp Z-43 vzlétl v roce 1968 a sériová výroba byla zahájena o dva roky později, v roce 1970. Letoun byl navržen jako robustní a spolehlivý stroj pro každodenní provoz v různých podmínkách, od regionálních letišť po krátké travnaté dráhy. Z-43 navázal na předchozí modely, ale s výraznými vylepšeními.
