ZnO is Wurtzite structured and crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3mc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Zn2+ is bonded to four equivalent O2- atoms to form corner-sharing ZnO4 tetrahedra.

2023年9月15日 · Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanostructures, including nanoparticles, nanorods, and thin film, were prepared using thermal decomposition, hydrothermal and sputtering methods, respectively. Structural and optical properties of the nanostructures were compared with bulk ZnO. X-ray diffraction patterns of the samples show the formation of the wurtzite structure.

In this review we discuss the status of ZnO as a semiconductor. We first discuss the growth of bulk and epitaxial films, growth conditions and their influence on the incorporation of native defects and impurities.
