Small cuboid ZMO/ZMFO particles (50–200 nm) offer abundant electroactive sites. It has 230 mAh g −1 capacity and 99 % retention after 200 cycles at 0.2 A g −1.

In such ZMO QDs and carbon composite, the quantum dot structure endows ZnMn 2 O 4 with a shorter ion diffusion route and more active sites for Zn 2+.
