2023年4月1日 · Page 1 of 2 - ZWO AM5 Review - posted in Mounts: This will be admittedly an early review of my ZWO AM5 Mount I purchased and received about a week ago. Ive used an EQ6-R Pro for the last 3 years and after I shorted the motherboard (replace en route), and considering I wanted a lightweight mount, I sprung for the AM5. Ive used a 5 refractor on my EQ6-R for the last year, an 8 SCT before that. I ...
Zwo am3 vs am5? - Beginning Deep Sky Imaging - Cloudy Nights
2023年10月29日 · Zwo am3 vs am5? - posted in Beginning Deep Sky Imaging: I have an 8” SCT evolution, Nikon camera, and a 70-200 zoom lens. I’ve taken some photos using the Nikon and 8” SCT. I’m happy with my photos so far, considering I forgot to take darks flats or biases. My main problem is the evolution mount takes up too much space. It fills half the trunk of the tiny car when camping with scouts ...

ZWO AM5 - Mounts - Cloudy Nights
2022年11月3日 · Hi Gary - I had a problem with the AM5 on/off switch when I first fired it up, the power would not stay on, I was using a 110v AC -12v DC adapter that worked fine before (zwo 5 amp power supply). Sent a video of the problem off to ZWO, and they asked if I was OK just replacing the power switch assembly, which comes with a plug and doesn't ...
For the ZWO AM5/AM3, what do the weight limits _really_ mean?
2023年4月21日 · ZWO says the AM5 can handle 13kg without a counterweight, and 20kg with one. For the AM3 they say 8kg and 13kg. It is often said for standard GEMs that the rated capacity is an overstatement, that one should try to use only half of it for imaging, though you might do shaky visual closer to the limit.

2024年4月4日 · ZWO AM5 + ZWO PE200 pier extension + Avalon T-pod 90 (adapter?) - posted in Mounts: Im hoping someone might know the answer to my question. Ive read a few older threads on alternative tripods to ZWOs carbon fiber one. I came across a few examples where people were using the T-pods with the ZWO PE200 pier extension and the AM5. They claimed they had found a means to do so with a screw knob they ...

2022年11月15日 · Has anyone tried the Celestron 93493 Heavy Duty CPC 1100 Tripod with a ZWO AM5. Amazon sells them but not sure about the connection between the Tripod mounting plate and the ZWO AM5.
