Liquid Penetrant Testing Materials - Magnaflux
Magnaflux provides NDT-pros, engineers, and technician inspectors with chemical consumable products developed and tested to maximize process reliability in flourescent penetrant inspection (FPI) and dye penetrant testing.
Zyglo® Liquid Fluorescent Penetrants - Stroud Systems
Zyglo® is the preferred penetrant inspection method for the extremely sensitive fluorescent detection of cracks and surface discontinuities in ferrous & non-ferrous test materials.
Magnaflux ZA-70 Zyglo Fluorescent Penetrant Kit
Zyglo ® ZA-70 Portable (aerosol) Fluorescent Kit offers improved sensitivity over our Spotcheck ® visible red dye test kit. Application: The ZA-70 kit is typically used on machined surfaces to find cracks, seams, laps, laminations and porosity.
Magnaflux Zyglo® ZL-27A Post Emulsifiable Fluorescent Penetrant
Post-emulsifiable ZL-27A penetrant is a high-sensitivity penetrant designed for inspection with the use of an emulsifier to remove surface penetrant. Both Method B lipophilic emulsifier ZE-4E and Method D hydrophilic emulsifier ZR-10E can be used to remove surface ZL-27A penetrant before developer application.
ZYGLO® ZL-15B, ZL-19, ZL-60C, ZL-60D, ZL-67B and ZL-56 are fluorescent water- washable penetrants with excellent controlled washability over a wide temperature range. With a UV-A light source, indications will appear as a bright green-yellow fluorescence.
Zyglo is an extreme-ly sensitive fluorescent penetrant inspection method that reveals cracks and other surface discontinuities in virtually any non-porous material. Surfaces should be free of foreign materials and paint that would prevent penetration of defects or hold unwanted penetrant.

How Zyglo Testing Works: A Step-by-Step Look at the Process
2025年3月7日 · Zyglo testing is a type of fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) technique used to identify surface flaws in metals and non-metal materials. The process involves applying a special dye that penetrates any surface cracks or defects, making them visible under ultraviolet (UV) light.
Zyglo® ZL-4C is a biodegradable, fluorescent, water base penetrant that is soluble in water and can be diluted infinitely, but is generally used as supplied or diluted from 1:1 to 1:2 in water. It contains no petroleum base
Magnaflux Zyglo ZL-60D Water Washable Fluorescent Penetrant
Zyglo® ZL-60D fluoresces a bright greenish-yellow under ultraviolet radiation and is safe for use on most engineering and aerospace alloys including aluminum, steel, nickel and titanium. Use of an ultraviolet light source with a peak wavelength of 365 nanometers, such as the Magnaflux ZB-100F fan-cooled UV light, is recommended.
