The only reason you ever use a new one is if there is a change in network capability and your previous one is too old to take advantage, like 5G. Most network operators tell you to keep the new SIM in a drawer and switch if you ever need to at a later point, for example a lost or stolen phone.

2017年11月19日 · My X had a non-flush SIM as well, but I returned it and got another one (waiting for SIM free Qualcomm model) and this one has a completely flush SIM. So nope, OP is not lying. And to OP, it’s definitley not normal if it won’t sit flush. I’d either try and recommend trying to fix the gasket so it’ll sit flush or bringing it to Apple.

Only gripe is ever since the iPhone 7/7+ series all the sim card trays had an engraved IMEI on it so not sure if that can cause.
