2023年12月23日 · Generally, the enclosure needs to be warm for ABS, at least 30C, so generally don't want to vent that out, unless it gets too warm. The P1S has a fan that vents externally with a HEPA in between, but this alone is not enough for fumes. People have made circular filters for the printer and the most popular is the BentoBox.

I just bought the P1S last week (without the AMS). Did a lot of research and narrowed it down to the P1S or the Qidi X plus 3. After looking at forums and other boards, the bambu printers have a lot larger group of users. About any issue or question you will have, will most likely have already been covered by someone.

I got my P1S last week and was curious how much power it would use so therefore I got myself a smart-plug which is connected to the P1S. (Tapo TP115) Attached are some screenshots of it's usage. To be honest, I expected the power consumption to be much higher!

Riser for AMS and ventilation, Swifty because it only took like two minutes, feed guides for the PTFE tubes, Y-splitter for the filament dryer, hinged cover for the P1S display so the glow isn't annoying, a few respool spools for any cardboard spool filaments I pick up (and then a Pastamatic to do the respooling).

2024年6月6日 · Initially, I was leaning towards the K1C, but I noticed a promotion on Bambu printers, which makes the P1S available for about 700Euro. This prompted me to reconsider. According to available comparisons, the Bambu Lab P1S is often regarded as the better printer.

2023年8月4日 · The internal camera for printer status and time lapse is much better on the X1C than the P1S. The video that is streams from the X1C whether watching on the phone, the bambu app, or a browsers is much smoother than the P1S and I am going to look at upgrading it if possible. The LCD display on the X1C is a much better user experience than the P1S.

2023年11月15日 · P1S is an enclosed P1P with an aux & chamber fan. It also has a fan for the main circuit board to prevent overheating that can occur when the printer is enclosed. Otherwise they’re pretty much the same. Look at the P1P to P1S upgrade kit in the Bambu accessories section to see all the parts that are upgraded on the P1S.

2023年7月21日 · Getting the hardened steel nozzle is a must, but another difference is the hardened extruder gears too. Not for PA-CF, but other filaments may require a bed temp beyond 100C, which the P1S won't do.

As someone who have used both K1 (not the max) and P1S, I am happily recommending the P1S at any time if your focus is on the actual printing itself. That is, the printer is just a tool to print. Unless if your focus is on the printer (e.g. lots of tuning and tweaking), then going open source would make more sense.

2023年12月10日 · Second question is, I need my product to be more impact/shock resistant than heat, have good layer adhesion, and not be warped. Reading up on this, PA6-CF seems to be the better option. Those with experience, which would be better? And third question, should I be able to print these on the P1S with just a hardened nozzle and hardened extruder ...
