State Highway 1 (SH 1) is the longest and most significant road in the New Zealand road network, running the length of both main islands. It appears on road maps as SH 1 and on road signs as a white number 1 on a red shield, but it has the official designations SH 1N in the North Island, SH 1S in the South Island.

Homecoming’s Silent Hill map is basically non-canon, it changes way too much of SH1’s locations for it to make any sense whatsoever, including the streets and Alchemilla. Downpour made it make more sense to the canon map when it added Overlook Penitentiary to the new area instead of randomly being in the residential area in HC.

Maps are a collection of plans, both architectural and detailing outside locations, that help the player and protagonists navigate their way around Silent Hill and the other myriad locations that appear throughout the series. They are fundamental to the players' gaming experience, and missing a map can mean wandering around hopelessly for hours.

2024年2月5日 · (SH1) Nowhere is some of the most impressive map design I've seen in a video game. In terms of fulfilling a role/function, the layout of Nowhere is absolutely perfect. The intention is clearly to confuse the player and feel hostile at every corner, representing the dwindling sanity of Harry and the towns inhabitants.
