Parts of this bridge date back to the 1860’s 🤯The first train passed over the bridge on February 18, 1866. The current bridge was constructed in 1902 and was named the Livingston Avenue Bridge — built upon the original 1866 pilings. The 1902 Bridge was constructed with a pedestrian walkway that provided access to both sides of the Hudson River but unfortunately, that walkway has been closed for decades due to neglect.
