This installer is using our patent pending winter siding adapter tip to install vertical siding. Many of you may be tempted to use the Trim Adapter for vertical siding, though it may “seem” to work, the guide posts won’t reach the wall making it more difficult. Use the Siding Adapter Tip with the nailer turned 90 degrees as shown in the video and it is easy to use and sets the nails perfectly. I don’t really like installing vertical siding compared to horizontal siding mainly because it’s slower. You have to trim and flash everything all the way up first, then set yourself up at a height where you can reach the top and bottom of the siding.
