What you need to know about Chad

Over half a million people - including 380,000 children - have sought refuge in Chad since the start of the conflict in neighbouring Sudan last April. Local residents in Chad are sharing their homes and what little they have with these children and families, many of whom have seen unspeakable violence and lost loved ones.
