One of the best transformations I can recommend as an interior designer to update your home is to “get rid of your carpet on your stairs” It really can transform a space from old to new. I love how a simple can of paint can transform a dated dark staircase into something magnificent. I use SW tricorn black porch and floor paint for the stair treads.
