Why does this sound so selfish?? This is easy to do as a doula. I'm a well paid professional. It's totally not about me. But as a grandparent, it feels more like My experience. This is my new lifestyle, not just a job. And that comes with figuring out what I can do, and still maintain my life of work, marriage, cooking ,exercise, and entertainment. I don't want these things to drop while also making my grown kids experience the best it can possibly be. And I want a lifetime bond with this baby.
