The sculpture is made from gypsum cement, a very strong and dense stone, that if mixed correctly and protected from the elements will last many lifetimes. Most DIY kits commonly use Plaster of Paris which is a much lighter and ‘crumblier’ plaster that will disintegrate and absorb moisture (moisture = mould) over time.
