Welcome back to more Black History Month content. Today we are talking about D.C.’s signature sound of Go-Go music. Go-Go music started to make waves around D.C. during the ‘70s and was led by musician Chuck Brown who was part of the band Soul Searchers. It was inspired by funk, blues, soul and salsa music, according to the National Museum of American History.
