HOW TO PROPAGATE AN IVY I have been wanting to try this for a very long time. The ivy I am using is from my grandfather's funeral back in 2012 so of course I would love to keep it for as long as possible. MATERIALS Ivy Scissors Water Pots/cups (anything to put the water and plant in) INSTRUCTIONS 1. Find the lenght you want to cut, make sure it's just below a root. You can tell it's a root by a brown circle on the side of the stem. 2. Cut just below the root, you may have to cut a leaf or 2 off

Ivy can cause major problems. Please read this. It can totally take over yards and make it impossible to grow anything in that location. If it's in a sheet, pull it up and dispose of it. If it's starting to creep into a neighbor's yard from yours, acknowledge the issue and try to contain it. In addition to pulling it up you may need to try a nontoxic herbicide.
