The Valley of the Kings is a valley located in the West Bank of Thebes (Waset) . It is the place where many of the Ancient Kings were buried . One of the most decorated tombs in the Valley is that of King Ramses VI . He reigned during a time of great unrest. Egyptian raiders and Libyans attacked constantly and the Egyptian Empire was losing Asiatic territory . Ramses VI managed to fend off the attacks but it was a period of decline. Still, he managed to make a large number of statues of himself.
