🍅 Putting up tomato cages and stakes. 🍅 We use metal tomato cages and wooden garden stakes to secure the cages so they don't tip over as the tomatoes start to produce fruit and get big. They are wire tied together. We rototilled and hand weeded with a garden fork before installing tomato cages. They are already flowering and some have baby tomatoes! 🍅 There's an exterior fence that keeps critters out of the garden. We grow a few different heirloom varieties of tomatoes. When tomato plants are fairly young, We put up metal tomato cages and wooden garden stakes to hold them in place.Then we use wire ties to secure the cages to the stakes. This helps keep tomatoes up off the ground, helps prevent disease, and keeps the vegetable garden organized.
