Surviving sister, April Messer, shares what the recent service project in Puerto Rico means to her. Her brother, fallen hero SSG David Whitcher, was known best by those close to him as a free spirit. David cherished the outdoors and spending time with loved ones. To help this family and engage in a project related to his spirit brings April closer to her brother’s memory.
