Rampant Neglect and Severe Injuries Uncovered Inside Chinchilla Breeding Mill

Never a dull moment with Shiran! We noticed a chinchilla outside our apartment building yesterday! At first we didn’t know what it was, but friends quickly shared it was a chinchilla. Yes in NYC!?!? Soooooo cute. We spent hours calling for help but everything was closed. We couldn’t let it go. We tried to give water and food. A Facebook post was made - and many jumped at the chance to rescue and take it in. A kind father and son came by and (after lots of running and chasing) managed to save it.
