Want to know your horse isn’t going to run off with you when you canter out and about? These are my tips: 1. Get calm in walk and trot first. Practice for a long time walking in different spaces and places, working on transitions and exercises like targeting and circles etc until your horse is just as calm out and about as they are at home. Add in small amounts of trot once that’s going well, and build from there. 2. Reward you horse for listening to you and slowing down. These are the two thing
