Quick tip for summer inspections! 💡 If you know your hive is strong and has a good laying queen, flip the brood box on its side and smoke the bees up to do a quick check for signs of swarming! 🌼If you don’t see any queen cells, or find empty queen cups, you’re good! If you find swarm cells with eggs, larva or capped cells already, you’ll want to split the hive. 🤗 Best to find that queen to start a new colony with a frame or two of bees & brood and a frame of food.
