Hummingbird nests made from spider webs grow as the babies grow. Watch as the baby pushes his nest with his little foot to expand it & create more space! The nests start out at only 1.5 - 2 inches wide, enough to fit two tiny eggs the size of jelly beans. The babies grow quickly though. By day 10 the nest can no longer comfortably hold the two of them plus mama. So mama hummingbird stops sitting on them to keep them warm. As the babies grow, they push out the soft flexible nesting to create more
