Crossing the border into IRAQ 🇮🇶

The day starts early, with 370 km ahead of me, tracing the edge of the Black Sea. After a failed attempt to reach a monastery with Frankie, it’s time to climb to 2400 meters through the mountains. I descend into a valley, only to climb up the other side as the sun sets, navigating endless curves. Finally, I arrive in Bayburt, where I’ll visit Bayburt Castle, which has a turbulent history. Good morning from Sultanhani! I’m here to visit the Sultan Han Caravanserai—a historic stopover that once welcomed travelers and merchants along the main trade routes, free of charge in its day. Today’s goal is to reach somewhere near Cappadoccia, but I find myself on a narrow path with jaw-dropping cliffs on either side—no room for mistakes here!
