How do I handle tantrums with kids under 16 months? I use diversion and redirection. So if they’re having a tantrum, I would probably go sit on the couch. Take their favorite book, and start reading it out loud to myself, the idea is they’ll come crawling your lap. Looking for guidance on how to navigate through your toddler’s tantrums over 16 months?
