This week I have a lot of tomatoes at various stages of ripening and I would like to get more tomatoes ripe for this weekend so we can eat lots of them at a meal with multiple people. The ripening agent of a tomato is Ethylene gas. Ethylene is what’s ripening the internal tissue of the tomato. Well apples, give off Ethylene as well, so why don’t we put our tomatoes in a brown paper bag with an apple or two?
