Daffodils finished blooming? It’s time for a little clean up. Cut back the stem to the ground - but only the stem. Do not cut the leaves. As tempting as it may be, it’s really important to keep the leaves intact until they turn yellow on their own in a few weeks. The leaves are capturing energy from the sun and sending it down into the bulb to help it “recharge.” This stored energy is what will help the bulb bloom successfully next spring.
