How do you hold your yarn and crochet hook? I control my yarn tension / gauge using my baby finger and guide my yarn with my middle finger. I hold my work with my thumb and forefinger. I find this the easiest and least painful way to crochet. I also like to switch between knife grip and pencil grip while I work.
