Endurance athletes learn to manage discomfort through consistent training, often in solitude. Unlike other sports where training is mostly fun, endurance sports focus on resilience—pushing through tough moments and embedding a mindset that differentiates between discomfort that is simply challenging and that which is insurmountable. The key lies in understanding that most discomforts can, indeed, be overcome. Having said all that, not everyone is cut out to be an endurance athlete, and there are
