I don’t really like installing vertical siding compared to horizontal siding mainly because it’s slower. You have to trim and flash everything all the way up first, then set yourself up at a height where you can reach the top and bottom of the siding. With 12’ pieces, you end up going up and down for the whole wall. But after the wall is complete, that’s where the satisfaction kicks in. For board and batten, you always want to allow more room to expand down then up. In this case, the box of sidi
